Introduction

The Arista ACE Level 3 Automation Advanced course is designed for network engineers with mid-to-high level experience who want to master advanced network automation techniques using Python, CloudVision APIs, and the open-source Arista AVD (Architect, Validate, Deploy) framework.

This course builds on the Automation Foundations track, taking your skills to production-level automation. You will learn to automate Arista EOS devices using Python with eAPI, automate CloudVision using REST APIs and gRPC, work with RESTful API fundamentals, and leverage Arista AVD to generate and deploy configurations for various network topologies.

Key areas of expertise you will develop include:

  • EOS Automation with Python: Automate Arista devices using eAPI, Python requests, JSONRPCLIB, and PyeAPI for configuration management, backup, and VLAN automation.
  • CloudVision Automation with Python: Use CloudVision REST APIs, CVPRAC, and gRPC resource APIs to automate CloudVision operations, query events, and subscribe to telemetry.
  • REST API Mastery: Understand RESTful API fundamentals, request/response patterns, parameters, payloads, and authentication methods (Basic, API Key, Token).
  • Arista AVD: Master the AVD framework with Ansible components for automated L2LS, L3LS with EVPN/VXLAN, and DCI fabric deployment through CloudVision.

Upon completion, participants can take an optional practical exam for the Specialist certification. Achieving this along with the Automation Foundations certification grants the ACE Level 5 Professional - Automation certification. Alternatively, you may take the Professional exam directly.
