Introduction

The Arista ACE Level 3 Data Center Operations course is designed for senior network engineers, architects, and advanced-level network administrators responsible for the day-to-day operations of Arista data center networks.

This course focuses on Day-2 operational tasks including telemetry, monitoring, and troubleshooting. You will gain deep expertise in deploying and managing Arista CloudVision for network automation, provisioning devices using both legacy configlets and modern Studios workflows, and monitoring network health through dashboards, events, and topology views.

Key areas of expertise you will develop include:

  • CloudVision Setup & Management: Deploy, configure, and manage CloudVision Portal (CVP) including clustering, multi-node installation, CVaaS onboarding, upgrades, backup and restore operations.
  • Network Provisioning: Master device registration, configlet management, change control workflows, snapshots, rollback, image management, and zero-touch provisioning (ZTP/ZTR).
  • CloudVision Studios: Learn the modern Studios-based approach with tags, workspaces, and studio deployment for L3LS, EVPN, and MLAG configurations.
  • Network Monitoring: Build and customize dashboards, manage events and event groups, and leverage topology views for comprehensive network visibility.
  • EOS Operations: Perform EOS upgrades (standard and smart system upgrades), MLAG ISSU, and chassis upgrades using both CLI and CVP.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose hardware and software issues, SFP errors, memory problems, and use tools like tcpdump, iperf, and health checks.

Upon completion, participants can take an optional 4-hour practical open-book exam. Achieving this certification along with the Data Center Engineering certification automatically grants the ACE Level 5 Professional - Data Center certification.
